Fatuma Ahmad Expertise and Experience

Fatuma started her career as a volunteer counsellor at C-Sema back in 2012 and has since climbed the organisation's leadership ladder from a Volunteers' Team Leader, Counsellors' Supervisor, Call Centre Manager to her current post of Zanzibar's Representative & Childline Zanzibar Manager.

Fatuma is an experienced Social Worker advocating for girls, women, disability and children's rights. She has been in the child protection sector for 12 years supervising, managing, monitoring and evaluating child protection programmes.

A certified counselor and training expert on Child Protection, Skillful Parenting, Attachment and Positive Discipline, she works with youth on career guidance, reproductive health and life skills coaching.

She holds an MA in Child Development and a BA in Social Work. Fatuma is the author of her project titled 'Strengthening Parenting Practices to Prevent Violence against Children in Homes' submitted in partial fulfillment of her MA at University of Haifa, Israel and the project is currently implemented in parenting programs in Zanzibar.
