Michael Marwa Expertise and Experience

Michael Marwa is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience specialising in Gender and Development Work. He possesses a keen interest in child protection, youth development, social justice, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health rights.

 

With a wealth of expertise in his field, Michael is recognised as a qualified social audit fellow, adding an extra layer of depth to his extensive knowledge. His reputation as a sought-after professional extends across national, regional, and international levels, where he engages in impactful advocacy work within the realm of child rights and related fields.

 

Michael's work spans critical areas of child rights advocacy and child safeguarding, including child-friendly budgeting, child rights governance, refugee children protection, child trafficking, child labor, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and efforts to combat Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C). He has also been actively involved in state and civil society reporting to Regional and International Human Rights Instruments and Treaties, engaging with policy makers, donor relations, and project proposal writing.

Furthermore, Michael's commitment to child welfare extends to his role as a Board Member of the Supervisory Board at Child Helpline International, where he contributes to global efforts to protect and amplify the voices of children.
