SMS Portal

This project aims at answering information access problem in seven rural districts (districts with highest public services access information demand according to the National Child Helpline’s data). The SMS portal informs the general public about their constitutional and legal rights on both Tanzania mainland (6 districts) and Zanzibar (1 district). Dialogues are ignited for accessing social and legal services in Tanzania on the one hand, and opportunities are provided for collective participation in the political process by community members in their Local Government Authorities, on the other.
